Well it's confirmed, my little sister Andrea who I haven't seen in like 2 years is coming to visit me next month. She managed to get a week off for vacation from August 8-14. She called me over 4th of July weekend and we both agreed a visit was well overdue, and ever since then I've been scrambling endlessly on looking for flights to get her out here. I could have flown her out here on one of my pink passes, but it's standby travel, and with her flying out of Seattle, I'm not taking the risk since she'd have to transfer in another city to get here. I played it safe and bought her a real ticket, on Southwest of course. I managed to find a really good deal that was cheaper than any other airline. She's flying out of Seattle, but flying back into Portland, Oregon. The nice thing is, she lives in Oakville, which is in between Seattle and Portland so both airports are about equal distance from where she lives. I'm really excited! Man I miss my little sis, it's gonna be awesome to have her out here. And I'm looking forward to introducing her to the Raleigh crew, I think she's really gonna like everyone here. My little sis and I are so much alike. Plus, she's really the only blood family I keep in touch with and get along with today.
I know I mentioned in my last post I have a few nicknames at work. There's one I forgot to mention that everyone's been calling me lately. It comes from this TV reality show called 'Beauty and the Geek.' I'm sure a few of you have seen it. Well, the guys and I have been watching and keeping up with it religiously. It's very amusing. One of the geeks on the show is named Chuck, and I honestly don't care much for the guy. Actually let's just say I don't like him at all, because he likes picking on my boy Richard. Well my boy Richard who's another geek on the show likes to to say to Chuck sarcastically, "Howdy-doo Chuck-a-roo!" every chance he gets, and so the boys at work started to pick up that habit with me every time I'm present. I kind of think it's hilarious. I've been called Chuck-a-roo before so it's nothing new, just another nickname that sticks for me.

Re: Awww, Chuck....isn't that special?
Haha, that one's already taken too Storm. A good friend of mine from work, when his little 4 yr old daughter came to visit and we hung out, she would call me "Chuck-Duck" quite a bit, so there ya go. :)July 15 2005, 06:38:38 UTC 6 years ago

Commentary
Hey!lol......Talk about sisters, I don't remember if I mentioned that I have 5 sisters. One lives in Tenn. I have had contact with one in the late nineties and then, "Poof!" she just faded away, and since then, I can't find her. The only thing I have to remember her by, is a picture of her.
How is work? I just witnessed a three car accident just in front of my house. One person is being rushed to the hospital, and the police are still investigating. I remember "Faith No More", good music. The wifey and I were talking yesterday about going out to eat, and that comment reminded me of some restaurants that I liked and really miss.
My restaurant reference is to "GroundRound", "Sizzler", and "Ponderosa".
I am now thinking deeply about whether or not to do research, and put money aside with a solid buisness plan. Then again, it may just be a passing thought. I thought it may be interesting to bring back "Sizzler Steak House" and reunite what's left of the "Goonies" cast since they haevily endorsed "Sizzler" in the movie.
Now i'm hungry for a baked potato with lots of butter, sour cream, chives, bacon, cheese, and just a tad of salt! I guess that you never went to Gencon? Did anyone say how it turned out? Talk about going places, I was so looking forward to seeing Olivia Newton - John in august, but the date was scrapped. I was wondering about going to another date since it's not completely sold, and paying someone up - front for a D3 pass both ways.
I hope your visit goes well with your sister, I will think of you guys.
Blessings, Storm

Re: Commentary
Gencon isn't for another month Storm, so still have plenty of time to prepare and plan, especially with getting time off work to go. It's actually during my b-day weekend in August.July 18 2005, 08:47:07 UTC 6 years ago
Re: Commentary
I am so forgetful at times. I also have a B-day in August, I will be 28. Thirty is creeping closer around the bend. I'll probably stop counting at 31, lol.July 17 2005, 16:26:36 UTC 6 years ago
